v2.36.0 (2026-09-25)

Overview

Vite Horizon 2.36.0:

  • adds a switch to turn off the grey outside the harvest area on FPP prints — and fixes the grey not appearing at all on many prints;
  • hides the Cart Route Map options on FPP layouts, where they had no effect;
  • stops the map editors from overwriting the label and style of features you select and save together, and lets you save selected and newly drawn features in one go.

Breaking Changes

None in this release.

New Features and Improvements

Turn off the grey outside the harvest area

FPP print layouts grey out everything outside the plan's harvest boundary, so the harvest area stands out. A new Grey Outside Harvest Area switch, among the FPP fields of the Print panel, turns that off. With it off, the print has no grey area and its legend has no "PTPZL outside Harvest Boundary" row.

  • The switch appears only on FPP layouts, and it is on by default — FPP prints look as they did unless you switch it off.
  • With Show Print Area on, switching it off also clears the grey from the map preview straight away.

See Harvest Area Masking.

Fixed: the grey area was missing from many FPP prints

Before this release the grey was printed only while Show Print Area was switched on — and choosing an FPP layout switches Show Print Area off, so in the usual workflow the grey never appeared. FPP Production prints also lacked it unless the FPP Production editor had been opened earlier in the session.

Both are fixed. The grey now appears on every FPP print while Grey Outside Harvest Area is on, whether or not you preview the print area, and whichever editors you have opened.

Cart Route Map options hidden on FPP layouts

The Cart Route Map switch and its Cart Route Name dropdown are now hidden while an FPP layout is selected. An FPP print has never included the cart route map or report, so they did nothing there. Switch back to a standard layout and they return, with your earlier choice kept. See Cart Route Reports.

Map editors: saving selected features keeps each one's own label and style

In the FPP, Plan Burn, Sketch, Wildfire, NOI and Spray editors, you can select several features with Multi on and save them together. Previously, every one of them was saved with the label, style, font size and point angle of the last feature you clicked — silently, with no warning and no undo.

Now each selected feature keeps its own values. Only a control you actually change after selecting — clicking a style, typing a label, picking a font size, entering an angle — is applied to all of them. Features you draw take their values from the panel, as before. (The Cart Route Editor received the same fix in v2.37.0.)

See Selecting and Saving Existing Features.

Worth checking older saves

If you have saved several selected features together in an earlier version, check them: they may have taken on the label or style of the last feature you clicked.

Fixed: saving selected and newly drawn features together failed

Selecting a few existing features, drawing one more and pressing Save failed with an error in every editor. It now saves correctly: the selected features are updated and the new one is added.

A text style needs a label — checked for every feature

A style that draws only text would be invisible without a label, so Horizon does not save one without it — Label Line and Text Point in FPP, and Text Line in Plan Burn, Sketch and Wildfire. Because each selected feature now keeps its own label, that check now looks at every feature being saved, and the message names the features that need a label (existing features by their ID).

Under the Hood

  • An editor save is now split into "update the selected features" and "add the new ones", which is what makes the mixed save work.
  • The grey outside the harvest area is now built from the FPP map service itself rather than from whatever happens to be loaded on the map, which is why it no longer depends on the preview or on which editors are open.
  • ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript updated to 5.1.25.
